OEM wheel help?
At first I had an order placed for a brilliant blue sedan, but I decided to drop that order for a coupé that was already here. It's a black C63S coupe, with black cross-spoke wheels and black/platinum interior. It's got all the options I want, except the interior trim is piano black without the IWC clock, whereas I wanted either a wood trim or a carbon fiber/silver fiberglass trim. I thought of wrapping the center console when it came in by taking it to a professional wrapping service, but I'd still miss the IWC clock which is something that I wanted, being a watch aficionado. It's not a deal breaker, but it'd be a nice addition.
Recently, my dealership received a Selenite grey C63S coupe - it has the wood trim with the clock and all the options I want, EXCEPT it has the 5 spoke wheels which I truly dislike. I asked my salesperson how I could go about getting the black cross-spokes on that car if I went with it instead, and he told me they sell the OEM wheels but they go for an outrageous price (like $1500 per wheel or so). I'm wondering if there's any place that I can get it for cheaper, or any similar-looking aftermarket wheels (if prices could be listed that'd be great). I never bought aftermarket wheels so I have no idea as to how much they cost. If they're too expensive I'd rather get the black one and just wrap the center console and suck it up about the clock, but if I can get a good deal on an aftermarket or OEM black cross spoke set, it'd be great. Hoping you guys could guide me in the right direction. Thanks!
You can get a set of vorsteiner wheels for about 2k shipped. I bought a set about a year and a half ago and they are holding up great. They look good, lightweight, and shipping took under a week.
Also not sure if the black car is still available but a few people have done a trim replacement and IWC clock addition. I think the information is in a thread in the c300 or c450 forum. May be a cheaper option if you are set ok the stock wheels.
