Drag radials -- how much size difference will the car tolerate
I took my C63S drag racing last night. Did well, but 20" run flats aren't the best tires.
The stock tires are 285-30/20.
Looking at Mickey Thompson, Hoosier, and Nitto (all that I know), the closest are the +/- 1/2 inch in diameter (some are +/- 0.8 in).
Can the computer accept up to 0.8 diameter variation?
What about width?
Stock tires are 11.2" width. (My is a convertible).
What's the max width in both wheel and tire I can handle in the wheel well?
The Mickey Thompson E/T Street SS in 305/35-19 tempt me
0.5" smaller diameter.
0.8" wider in width.
Feels OK. I searched and didn't find that much.
