Michelin Tires: Pilot Super Sport or Pilot Sport 4s

Anyone try out the 4s yet?

Also, I noticed the Pilot Super Sports, there is a Mercedes M01 version. Anyone know what that means?

Do they both have rim protection?

I am currently running pilot super sports. But I am going to switch it over to 4s next set just based off the reviews on them

I think 4s will be far better overall, because they are replacing the PSS

I have the new 4s's on my coupe. I had the PSS's on my sedan. They are better in the rain, quieter, smoother over the road, and grip like crazy. Worth the money.

Have the 4S and have put the PSS on my last few cars. They're both great tires and I doubt you will see very much real world difference between the two. But no reason not to get the 4S as they are the newest design.

Don't buy either and go with Bridgestone's RE71 since it doesn't rain in SoCal

And you'll be going with them twice as much as they probably have 1/2 the tread life. On my CL 63 they ran 8k and were replaced.

isn't PS4S the replacement for PSS?

I've heard people having issues sourcing the PSS for over a year.

I'd go with the PS4S just so I could get replacement tires with no issues.

That's fine with me, my 2004 E55 only has 23k and it's taken me over 6 months to finally get over 1K miles on the C63S. I still have the same tires on the E55 that I put on back in 2005. I'm easy going on street tires

I had to wait for the 295's to come in. There were delayed here in the USA.
