Building my own Sub Enclosure
I finally started my Sub enclosure last night. I'm going to make it from fiberglass so I started by taping the whole side so the resin doesn't leak out. Then I put aluminum foil over the tape. In the enclosure I will have one

The finished project is going to look great. After you finish, get some charcoal in a container, poke some holes, and leave it in the trunk. Great way to absorb odors.

Thanks for the advice I will definitely do it!
Here is what I've done so far today...
added 1 layer (total 3)
Pulled the box out
starting to brace the box a bit with wooden dowels
Still, need to clean it up a little and then add more layers of fiberglass over my wooden dowels

Here is what I followed to build the box
SORRY but I forgot to take pictures of me adding supports and bracing the box but I will after this next step
But after you get where you want your sub to sit in the box support the ring and glue it down.
After that get your fabric and stretch it across the front of your box. make sure there aren't any wrinkles then add resin. to make it hard.

This write up is fantastic, please keep it updated. I've been following some of the same YouTube videos as I've been thinking about building an enclosure myself. If you don't mind, please keep us updated with all the small details, everything you learn will help! Please also let us know what amp you've used, where you're putting it, running wires, etc.
Thank you!
Thank you!

What you need for wiring the sub
-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EE3Y7GG/ref=psdc_10980741_t2_B00IIL0LW0
Line out put converter uses the stock sub wire as signal because OEM amps do not have RCA output
-Amp and sub of your choice
-Amplifier wiring kit

This wiring diagram shows on page one that position 8L and 10L are the wires for the sub
file:///Users/MilanPatel/Downloads/Burmester_WiringDiag.pdf
Splice either or both and plug them into your Line output converter to make your RCA output. Then plug in the RCA into your Aftermarket Amplifier.
If you have the Burmester then everything will be easier because EVERYTHING is located in the trunk.
-Battery
-OEM Amp
-Your Sub and Amp
I still haven't got to these steps but when I do I will try to make a video for you guys.

Building the enclosure is not very difficult. This was the first one I built and it has been annoying but very straight forward.
Here is what I used to make my enclosure
-Chop Mat Fiber glass-
I got both but didn't use much of the .75 mat.
Fiberglass resin you'll need about a gallon so I recommend getting this from lowe's
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bondo-127-9...Repair/3371928
Any masking tape
Any Aluminum Foil
Lots of cheap paint brushes (not Foam) need one for each coat because the resin dries on the brush
You want to do 3 layers of fiberglass and then you can pull it out and add a little more.
The sub ring that holds the sub was easy for me because I had an old sub box and just cut them out.
Wooden dowels for support
Cheap fleece to wrap over the front.
A good respirator
lots of cheap gloves
I'll try to answer if you guys have any questions

This is what the box should look like after you have put resin on your fleece.
You need to cut the whole and sand down high spots and then apply more resin.
After you have a smooth surface clean the box very well and the next step is your finishing step. Whether you carpet it or paint it is up to you. I am using a special fabric but you'll see it in the next few days.
After I sand this I will put a layer of epoxy and then put my fabric over it.
