Distronic Issue in Stop and Go Traffic
I have a '17 C63S sedan
I am curious whether anyone has noticed a rubbing noise (not grinding) which causes a resonance when using distronic in true bumper to bumper traffic. It sounds like the rubbing when a truck with air brakes is stopping or trying to drive with the emergency brake engaged. It does not do the noise when driving in traffic with distronic off so I am wondering how the applying of the brakes differs when distronic is off vs. when it is controlled by the computer.
The noise and vibration is noticeable, they hear what I am talking about at the dealership, however they dealership cannot find an issue. They looked at the rotors, pads, and run tests on the brake booster. All is normal.
I am wondering whether this is one of those- "characteristic of the automobile" which others have noticed.
