New front pads and rotors at 18k miles?

Looking at a 2016 C63S that's for sale and the owner stated they will replace the front pads and rotors as part of the sale.

Struck me as a bit odd since:

- My 2011 C63 has 38k miles and the pads have 7/32 left and zero warping in the rotors

- This is a $2,000+ job to get done...doesn't seem like something to casually mention after several communications.

Anyway, am I nuts in thinking it is sort of sketchy to need new brakes at 18k miles?

nope not on this car. Some people are doing theirs at like 12000 miles. Some people admit to tracking their car and driving hard and others say they drive normal and have the same wear. I drive relatively normal and have 11000 miles and mine are fine. But 18 with someone who drives hard isn't surprising.

Agree. I don't track my car. Drive it hard on occasion. I've done a full set of brakes and rotors and just did rear brakes again at 18300 miles which was last Thursday. They said the rear brakes come into play when accelerating hard to keep the car in a straight line. Welcome to the W205

I've done about 15.000 miles in mine and it went to the shop for maintenance.

They also gave me a call yesterday I need new brake pads in the back. Front was fine.
Don't do any track days, just sporty driving
