Steering Wheel 'rewrap' or special detailling?
Has anyone any experience with rewrapping the steering wheel?
Can it be done or should I get a new one?
I'm not pleased by the current state of my alcantara on even though the car only has about 15.000 miles on it.
I have a regular C63, not S, and I would also like the small stripe on the steering wheel. Looks like a nice touch to me.
Tips welcome

I'd say before you spend the $$$ on a new wheel or wrap, try cleaning it with a proper Alcantara cleaner. I like the Sonax stuff. Dip a sponge in a bucket of warm water with a drop or two of dishwashing soap in it. Wring it out well, and use the sponge to clean the wheel thoroughly, rinsing/wringing as needed. Then use another clean sponge, apply the Sonax to it, and work it into the wheel. Let it dry overnight, then use a toothbrush to "lift" the Alcantara fibers. Its worth a shot for $15 and twenty minutes of your time.

Baby wipes work WONDERS for it as well. I go through 2-3 wipes and they're nasty by the time I'm done; then I just let it dry a few hours, and poof, looks and feels like new.
