E-brake functionality

So...
I've had two E and c loaners and we just bought a new 2017 GLC.
All of them remove the e-brake upon shift to drive....

My C63s removes it when I apply a little throttle.

Asked dealer about this and they said it could not be changed...

How does your e-brake work???!

Yeah mine is the same. I had this on my C43, but not for the C63.

The only reason I can think of for this is the C63 is too much of a beast to just let loose without manual intervention.

Only thing I can think of is that the MCT transmission has something to do with it. The fact that it has a clutch that puts the car in 'neutral' (same as a manual transmission in 1st gear with the clutch pedal pushed in) versus a torque converter that doesn't have that separation might mean the e-brake is programmed to stay on until you are 'in drive' after pushing the throttle.

Thanks to you, both.
As long as everyone else's cars to do this I will, this one time, accept that it's correct.
Normally when a dealer tells me that every car on the lot does it so it's supposed to do that, I laugh and tell them: "So, by that logic, if every car on the lot didn't start...."

Mine's the same. I added the manual release of the e-brake to my start up procedure as I don't like the lunge you get when you touch the gas with the brake on.

I here ya.
I just "brush" the accelerator enough to blip the RPMs, and the e-brake releases.
