C63s Deposit $2000 is this the normal Amount
First off Hello all,
I have waited over a year and Now its time to place my order
so cool. However my Advisor informed me I wont have the C63s 2018 model
until Late DEC.
Anyhow , he is requesting a $2000 Deposit. Should I proceed or ask for a lower Deposit.
Note* I'm part of the MB Financial Family, if that helps.

I would assume thats pretty standard. I had to put a $6,000 deposit to secure a Cayenne when they refreshed the model in 2011.
Then again, no expert here. But for a $80K+ car, seems normal.

The $2,000 deposit is standard for normal deposits. Typically we require $4,000 for AMG models, but I can have it waived to the normal $2,000 deposit fee. Again the deposit is fully refundable at any. We have a priority allocation so we can get the car sooner than any other dealer in the nation, and when it comes to AMG models only a select for are built and designated in US market.

Not to sound stupid , I will be coming off a Prius well to be exact the Prius will be my Weekly Commute car.
When you say beast , is there a noticeable difference in speed or where do you feel the beast at?
Not to be funny , but when I pop my Prius in "power Mode" she takes off
without a hiccup. whats the Difference in the C63s than my Prius.

Honestly... if you think a prius is fast... LOL! Youre in for a treat. I had a 375hp BMW i thought was quick... oh man this 500hp C63S is just another animal.

My estimated MSRP for my 2018 C63S coupe order is over $100k and my dealer asked for min $3000 and it's NON REFUNDABLE
Estimated delivery for mine is at the end of October.
My friend who ordered a 2017 GLE43 MSRP $82k (but he's paying $74k) arriving at the end of the August, he had to put down $20k!!!
Sometimes it just doesn't make any sense.
Let's see who gets it first

I hope I don't jinx myself here but neither Mercedes nor Land Rover asked me for deposit. Its probably a dealer thing where they choose if to risk ordering when you are not serious. I was ordering a $132K SVR that I then rejected since they messed up my color. I agreed to take an autobiography instead and they still didn't ask for deposit. Then again I had bought a 2014 sport I was trading so maybe I don't know.
Prior to coming to Mercedes, I was buying an M4 that they did ask for a deposit to order. I never paid as I couldn't seem to pull the trigger on it. I have been BMW FS customer for 15yrs. I came over to Mercedes and the discussion of deposit never even came up.
I think it's up to them. If you configure some options no one wants they'd have a hard time selling maybe.
You gonna get the car anyway, just deposit and get it.

I was also required a 2k deposit for a 9/1 build date. I backed out of a 2017 order at a different dealer (1k deposit) and went for the 2018 hoping that Mercedes will iron out some of the common problems on the c class platform. 1 or 2k deposit is pretty normal

Any how , I spoke with a dealer and he said zero depost.
Guess it comes down to how base the build is.
I have a relationship with the dealership and the advisor has pinged me and kept me
in the loop for over a year , cant hate a guy for doing that.

-Build order & Deposit (fully refundable $2,000) < on this day , should I be walking out with a VIN?
-Purchase order submitted to MBUSA
-Build date & ETA of delivery confirmed by MBUSA < is this the same day as my deposit day
-Ship Manifest for ETA for port arrival
-Car arrives to port then prepared for delivery at dealership
-Delivery & Purchase/Lease finalized
-You enjoy your new C63s AMG Coupe > Not so fast , first a victory lap around the A$$hole who fired me 10 Years ago.
Who new 1 month later , I would fall into a six figure dream job and going into my second Benz
ahhhhhh, who gets the last laugh now , oh ill know when that "Crackle Pops"
