Ignition Coil fault (error code )

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced these codes when plugged into a scanner.

- The Actuation of Ignition Coil 1-8 has an electrical fault or open circuit. There is an Internal component Fault.

W205 edition 1 coupe.

Yes I am modded ... catless dump pipes + evotech tune + bmc filters. Ive had these mods for the last 1,500kms.

The idles very rough at times and the car stalls.

I have taken it to a dealership and they have spent 4 hours and still cant work it out, will be taking it to a more experienced dealership.

It's a simple fix .

Just replace the faulty coils.
I think theirs a tsb on this on certain batches

They checked the coils they all seemed fine according to them. Also checked for factory recall and my VIN is fine..

I mentioned this to my mechainic and he said to change the coils also .

So kind of torn in between changing them or not if they seem to be fine ?

Chang out coils and spark plugs... Easier to just do them all at once and be done with it.

Took my car in here in Canada. There is a recall for Canada for the igintion coil. I have a 2015 C63S Edition One.

Apparently the reason for the recall in Canada for the ignition coils on some C63's is something to do with temperature fluctuations and how it impacts the soldering on the ignition coil. Mine is one of the first C63's off the line. So assuming this was just a problem with the very early cars. I've had great experience with this car. If this is the only issue that has arisen out of a new model, a new engine, and being one of the first off the line, then I have it pretty easy.
