First Issue with C63S Edition 1

I don't want to jinx it, but so far the car has been great. Especially considering it was an early build of a new model and engine. But I noticed the other day a loose part on the rocker panel. Passenger side.

See pic attached and red arrow pointing to it. I could swear I read somewhere on the forum about this being an issue but when I do a search I cannot locate it or how to fix it.

Thanks

Rorie

I had a similar issue with the trim piece coming loose and creating a gap. Took it to the dealer and they secured it under warranty. I believe it is affixed to the car with clips and double sided tape, but easily fixed by the dealer and never was an issue again.

Same thing happened to me. They changed out the clips and added more double sided tape. Zero cost. They had to order the clips but once the took the car in they had it back to me in 20 minutes.

How hard was it to remove? Did it break any of the clips? I'm thinking of taking mine off to be painted too. Did you also remove the window trim?

Happened to me, both sides were falling off within 2 weeks of taking delivery. Fixed under warranty, no issues since.

One more here. Was like that when I bought it. Dealer replaced it under warranty no questions asked.

Just a quick tip on the window trim...
My brother is an auto insurance adjuster, and I asked him the best way to remove window trim...
He told me I'm better off DIY or paying someone to vinyl wrap it on the car.
It's such a flimsy part that it gets bent in removal, so when they have to repaint a door, especially in late model vehicles...the have to replace that window trim 99% of the time or it looks like crap.

A Lot of cars have had this problem including me. They have to take off the body molding it is attached to to do it properly. The trim is attached with clips and tape and if you take it off with out removing the molding the clips fall off and no way to reinstall them without getting at the back. They did this way on mine and it has not come off in 2 years.
