It sounds like you have other issues. Perhaps malfunctioning exhaust flap actuator. When that happens, it will put your car into limp mode.

Have a 2020 C43 that I picked up new in late February. I haven’t driven it much due to working at home during the pandemic. Only has about 600 miles.

I’ve had several Starter Battery Critical/12V notifications during that time. Despite driving for over 2 hours the past few days, the Starter Battery still says Partly Charged and it says it’s too low to enter Standby Mode.

Car feels slow, and although I’m making boost and nearly 365 lb-ft of torque (which is still shy of target, but not abysmal) via the Engine Data, I cannot get past 267 horsepower - no matter how hard I bury the throttle.

I’m over 100 horsepower down on power. Is this likely the limp mode triggered from low voltage?

My car is doing this also. I trapped 117 tuned and then 116 and then 114 after a 2 hour cool down.

I just flashed the car back to stock tune and its slow as hell now.

Im asking because i broke my leg 2 months ago and im still fcked up 😐. I do start the car every month let it run for 20minutes in the garage, but i cant drive it and i hope it doesn't go into limp mode 😳😳

If its going to be sitting, then just get a good trickle charger... starting it and letting it run does minimum for battery or what ever... (it keeps the parts lubed etc, but as for the charging system etc doesnt do much at all)

Its not really an issue of "what would happen" it just a safety measure or proactive approach.. if it was me, then I would do that..

3 months? You'll 100% get the low voltage error which triggers soft limp mode.
Mine got it after 4 weeks sitting while I was getting my wheels repaired.
To avoid it you'll need to turn the car on at least once every 3 weeks and let it charge.

Im glad its not 1000$ since its a high end benz and every little thing seems to be overpriced.
I bought and Autel Maxi AP200 bluetooth dongle which i didn't get a chance to use yet. Is it possible to reset soft limp via that?

Nope.

Just turn on the car once every 2 weeks and you'll be fine or else it's off to the dealers mate!

Can more advanced reader like icarsoft mb 2 see and clear this code?

I just bought another xentry setup and waiting for the guy to activate my laptop over TeamViewer.

I'll let you know what it says in xentry

Edit. I've been waiting all day for this guy to log into my laptop and activate it and he just said sorry something came up and can do it tom. Does anyone know how to use the key gen to activate xentry that can log in with team viewer and do it.

My car might be in limp mode due to low battery what should i do to get it out of it?

Do i have to schedule an appointment with the service advisor?

Is this something they can do while I wait?
How much clearing the code should cost?

Im Waiting for my Eurocharged stage 2 handheld. Will tuning the car remove the soft limp mode?

Sorry for this many questions 😅 I just can't find answers anywhere 😪.

  1. Pull over and turn the car off. Remove the key.
  2. Do not press the gas pedal or any other buttons on the car.
  3. Wait 20 seconds.
  4. Start the car and drive to see if it is out of limp mode.
Sorta depends on the code, some OBD scanners can remove it, but if its a major fault, you would need a dealer / mechanic with a factory system.
(I have a mechanic that used to work at MD, that has the tools, so I goto him for 99.99% of things if needed.
