CTEK Multi US 3300 or newer model CTEK MUS 4.3

A Mercedes branded charger is a CTEK product.

all kinds of cars
Where do you hook up the charger? Direct to battery? Terminals under hood? Lighter adapter? I am not sure if the lighter is on all the time.

Lighter adapter is NOT on all the time.

There are terminals under the hood. All this info is in the instruction manual.

I use the one by CTEK. Over the past several years has not let me down. Swedish company, made in China.

I've hooked it up both ways. Direct to the battery and at other times to the terminals under the hood. The terminals are a bit more convenient.

Just an FYI,

The CTEK 4.3 can go up to 15.8 volts during desulphation and recond steps. My 2011 C300 manual says 14.8v max for chargers.

If you are going to leave the battery connected while charging, I would be cautious. The 3300 looks safer for this method. Also, some newer cars have lithium batteries. You will need a CTEK lithium charger.
