Who's Upgraded their Turbos
#26
I am running the Dime Racing Stg. III turbos and they perform flawlessly. I did 10.48 in the 1/4 Mile with full interior and the engine has a very linear and factory like powerband, yet it still has a brutal kick when you stomp it. The best part is the car drives and delivers power exactly like factory when in comfort mode which is very impressive for a 700 WHP car.

OEM E63S twin scroll manifolds and turbos both bolt onto the C63S because the cylinder heads are the same. So that would be the easiest “OEM” turbo upgrade for the C63S. The oil/coolant lines to the turbo may need to be modified, but it’s possible even the standard ones will fit.
Someone needs to try this out, I can’t even imagine how insane the power down low and up top would be with the larger twin scroll turbos. This is probably the setup the C63R or Black Series or whatever they end up calling it will be.

Turbos can do aftermarket.
We need to get a big tuning shop to delelope some twin scroll manifolds that will mount turbos infactory location and won't crack.

From what I understand, deliveries literally just started for the 2018 W213 E63S. You sure you didn't race a last gen W212? The E63S traps at least 126 mph stock, so tuned it should be 130 mph or more. That's about what a "good" running C63S with a turbo upgrade runs. And forget about keeping up with one from a dig...

Nice, do you think you would keep up with it after the revised tune? Be interesting to see how you would do against it on pump gas like he was running instead of race gas...

i run race gas because of my tune. High timing and about 24psi, if i run pump gas im significantly slower. I use it because i HAVE to use it. 20whp / 30wtq increase will not make a drastic difference and i will still win by alot. If you’re not tuned for race gas theres no need to be using it.

Something tells me that pump gas tune only E63S would have stayed pace and even passed you if you were running the equivalent octane. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison when you don’t have to worry about detonation and knock with all that high timing and boost.
Honestly, the E63S with a properly optimized
tune on pump gas with bolt-ons (downpipes, filters, exhaust, etc) is probably going to run as fast if not faster than your setup. Throw race gas in the E63S with bolt-ons and you’ll be seeing its taillights even with your upgraded turbos and race gas.

What mods have you got and what's your hp/tq atw with your current setup?
What race has do you use?
Is is it available at your local gas station?
