Matte PPF

Matte PPF
Anyone who has experience with matte PPF. Did the installer take off the bumpers and take out the headlights and taillights for installation to assure every edge is wrapped? If not can you tell a difference in the cracks where the film isn't? Considering on doing this when my new white C63s coupe comes in (long story). I'm going with a full PPF wrap just not sure if I want to go matte.

I've got matte PPF on both my C63S sedan and my Tesla. Xpel on C63S, Suntek on Tesla. I've also got full gloss PPF (Suntek) on the 911.
For matte, you MUST have it wrap around the edges; otherwise, the clearcoat gloss will show and reflect through, making it look.. odd. Doesn't matter how close the installer thinks they can cut it, it will show. However, for larger panels they can get away with, if they have the right tools, slipping the edge of the wrap in-between the panels. But by-and-large they'll have to remove things like headlights, badges, etc.

Thanks! That’s what I figured but didn’t know anyone that had the experience. For the clear he was planning on wrapping everything he can and removing badges but not headlights. He said for the matte he would remove lights and potentially front and rear bumper as well. Not sure if its worth the extra labor for it all.
