Appreciate responses from those who have done the ECU tune conversion as to your experience, costs, drive-ability changes, warranty issues, installation issues... anything positive or negative you can think of. Have a 2018 C63 Sedan ordered for late Feb to early March delivery. LOL.. do I really need 600 hp to drive to the doctor's office, or do I just want it?

Dinan

I installed the Dinatronics module a couple of months ago in my C63S coupe. Install took approx 1.5 hrs. Car drives like stock but pulls harder especially in Sport mode. I haven't had any issues so far to talk about warranty stuff.

Yup had it in my car over a month now... it feels so much faster especially in the butt dyno. Highly recommended just make sure you get it installed at a verified installer to maintain warranty with no issues down the road due to claims on improper installation.

I had Dinan software installed on my BMW 535 by the BMW Dealer so no warranty issues. Dinan self insures and will cover items which MB might exclude because of the modification. Dinan covered even for consequential damage like you add another 100 ft/lbs and the rear differential or transmission blows out. Usually the torque goes up more than the HP. Drivability was the same, the car just pulled stronger. Of Note, even with another 100 HP your car will only be tenths of a second faster to 60 mph so if you race a stock c63 and he hits the gas pedal a half second quicker it won’t seem like a great investment.
Dinan usually raises to top speed limiter if that’s important.

You want it. The car is very traction limited. Get some PS4's for a lot less. Sign up for the free driving academy.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in South Florida so cooler weather ability isn't needed and have Pilot Super Sports on a C350 now, and like them. The PS2's have excellent reviews but it seems the Super Sports are even better, at least as far as I see today. I have the driving academy in mind as well. If it comes on anything other than the Michelns I'll consider a tire change soon, maybe one size up to 275 in the back (it's a sedan) as well.

I think you misread Chigs post. He is recommending the PS4S, which is the replacement over the 6-year old Pilot Super Sport you have now.

The PS2 is ancient compared to these PS4.

Yes I HIGHLY recommend the new PS4S. I also upped the size by 10 in front and rear... so much more grip.

So that would be 275/35/19 on the sedan in the rear. Are you using any spacers? and if so what size please and do they require a different lug?

Thanks in advance.

The 275s fit on the rear wheels of the sedan with no mods.

I have a love/hate relationship at times with this car for this very reason. The low-end torque and smallish rear tires make traction a big issue - thus why I cant imagine trying to boost it without spending enough money on it that would otherwise buy me a "better car".

I could corner at higher speeds and accelerate out of them in my M4 with significantly better performance/prediction in all conditions. Straight line speed, sound, and "pin your *** to the seat" is hands down better in my C63S coupe, but the transmission on manual mode is much less responsive than the BMW DCT.

I have SuperSports (same as my M4) and will try the PS4's on the next go-around, but traction is a problem as is even when kicking down at 50 mph. If the roads are wet, forget it...

You can't have it all, but I am perpetually in the pursuit of the perfect 2+2 coupe. I am Veruca Salt when it comes to these cars and want mid-engine sports car's performance out of a mid-sized body coupe.
