Free NAV Update - SA giving me trouble

Took my 2017 in for service B today (18.5k miles) and while there, I'm like, "hey can you go ahead and update the nav maps for me since it's included?" He tells me that there would have been a flag on his system saying it's available (like the most recent recall for fuel system, of which I'm a little nervous about, but that's another story), and that my car specifically may not have had the option with the VIN. I then look up to find that all 2017 models with the COMMAND system come with 3 years of map updates. He said he has a call in, but still no update from the SA.

Anyone have any experiences with this? Got the car in October of 2016 and have not had any map updates.

Let us know what your SA says, I need to take my car in for firmware update and possibly pay up for the apple car play.

There is a way to pay for Car Play? Haven't seen that - can you tell me more?

He's bsing you. It's free, if requested by client it should be given without any questions. I told my SA, he wrote it on the notes and was taken care of and got the latest version 11.0. Should go to another dealer if possible.

Just heard back from SA - "Your car is all done....oh and we were able to take care of that nav update for you."

hahaha, not covered my ***!
