Race Mode Rev Limiter?
Was having fun in the car today with a motorcycle doing rolling races in Race mode - C63S coupe.
Question - and the manual isn’t very clear on this if I wasn’t paying attention is it possible to pass the rev limiter in Race mode? Not sure if I was only hitting the limiter or if I shifted in time. Hopefully it still cuts power in Race mode.
Anyone have any experience with the rev limiter in Race mode?

The rev limiter is there to protect the engine. Unless you have a tune that changes the rev limit (or money shift a manual trans), you won't be able to exceed the limit.

All engines have a rev limiter. They don't let you rev past a point where engine damage is likely to occur. In addition the transmission won't let you do a money shift. If you try to downshift and the lower gear would put the engine above a safe rpm, it will simply refuse the shift. In the FL with the digital instrument cluster, it flashes red if that happens. It's the same in every mode. You could theoretically rev the engine past a safe point by going downhill with enough gravity. Not sure what would happen in this case.

What happens if you floor it all the way in 1st gear and you see the words "UP" blinking on the dashboard? If you don't shift but continue to accelerate, does your engine not cut out?
On my one it says "UP" as you rev through the gears. Does yours do the same like below?

It absolutely does have a rev limiter at 7k and does fuel cutoff if you hit the limiter.
