Who has installed their own suspension? Need diagram

I'm looking to install HR springs on my 63, but was wondering if anyone had a diagram on how to remove the struts, particularly the rear. The fronts looks easy to access but have not had the time to look into the rears. Have done numerous installs on BMW's, Hondas, but never on Mercedes. Any pointers or advice is appreciated

I installed my KW's myself. The rears were much easier than the fronts. The install is not difficult at all because the OEM shocks and springs are already very low that you don't have to tug on things very much to pull them out. I don't know what suggestions I could give other than saying that It was a standard spring installation (Have done suspension mods on Hondas, Subarus, Mustangs, VWs, and BMWs. I suggest you use multiple jacks (what I did) or utilize a lift if it's available. The biggest thing for me was that I have an impact gun (600lbs). It's nearly impossible to get enough torque on those bolts with hand tools unless you have the vehicle on the lift.

Thanks for that, spring compressors needed, I'm assuming? I just picked up a $50 electric impact wrench (230lbs) from harbor freight, hopefully that's enough. Do you access and remove the rear strut nuts from the cabin or is it removed from the outside once the rear wheels are removed?

The rears struts don't have to come out because the springs and the shocks are separate like BMWs. Spring compressors are needed and the impact that you got might not be enough for the job.
