Do you live in NYC or know any family/friends who do? If so during the US Open, you can go to the MB booth and sign up for another $500 off (or whatever they are offering) for a new MB.

I put 1000$ down in cash almost a month ago on a 63s sedan. Still have no allocation as of 3 weeks after deposit. Got 12.5% off on a 85k build. Really can’t complain about that. For that kinda discount I’ll just wait for the build

I’ll post a picture of my build sheet later with the % off so it doesn’t seem like BS. Currently at work and don’t have access to it right now

I'm not saying that this is BS, but you are a magician! 12.5% off on a brand new car is just wow!

A dealer gets 7% margin plus hold back which I think is 2-3% and with a new model there would be no trunk money so why would a dealer give you 10 % on an ordered car? Sometimes it happens if the car has been in inventory for a long time and the floor plan cost is eating them up.
You really do not have a order till they give you an allocation and give you a print out of it. Any one coming in to pay full price or less of a discount will probably go ahead of you.

Your prolly correct on that , money talks. I’m ok with a little wait. The people where I live have boatloads of money so it’s quite possible.

Just ordered first new car. C63s sedan!!!

Hi guys I just placed my order about two days ago. My salesperson is waiting for his new sales manager to get in today to button everything up. I’ve done deposit and speced out etc. My question is what should I expect to get from my salesman one the order is locked in for good. Do I get some
kind of packet of Info with the build Info or estimated dates of production or what. As of now it doesn’t seem real.

Demand a build sheet with your name on it and a PO #. I have heard of sales people making arrangements with clients but there isn’t an actual allocation placed in the client’s name. When you order a car you take one of the dealer’s allocated cars in your name and then you are able to modify before the car is actually built. Since that point the car has your name attached to its build sheet. Good luck and congrats!

Otherwise, everyone would be ordering vehicles whether they really want one or not and using up the dealer allocated slots for nothing.

that is completely false and if your dealership tells you that you should find another dealer. also 2k- 5k deposit is absurd.

deposits are fully refundable. you’re not a fortune teller and no one knows what can happen within those 3-4 months (best case scenario) of waiting for a car. you can change your mind even the day the car gets to the dealership.

Agree. I put a $1k deposit down in March or last year and finally put in the order in July. With all the delays, I got impatient and and bought one off the lot from another dealership in January. The original dealership refunded my deposit without me even asking.

Thanks. That’s basically where I’m at but I have a really good salesman according dealer rater. Best one at the best dealership in my area. He let me know today that they hope to have an allocation for me by the end of next week! Time will tell. Excited!

Good luck. Be persistent and keep asking for a PO that shows your name.

Should be hearing about an allocation tomorrow! I’ll keep posted. Is this usually a several month wait just to get allocation?

I don't believe that it should take much time at all for an allocation. It depends on the dealership and how many cars they sell. If they sell a bunch, they get more allocations. I had mine very quickly, and then the order sheet followed the same day from the SA.

One of the dealers in my area stated there were no current immediate allocations available in the country. Not sure what to make of that but we will see what happens. Worst case I don’t get an allocation and don’t buy a car I don’t need lol
