I'm having the front lip installed tomorrow -- the manufacturer of the front lip included screws that are to be drilled through the lip into the front bumper to stabilize it. Is this really necessary? On my previous car with a front lip, I only had to use double-sided 3M tape and there was never an issue with it. I'd much rather not drill into the front bumper if I don't need to. At the same time, I don't want it to fly off when I'm in the middle of a hot lap... Does anybody else have expertise or experience with this lip and how to secure it?
