That's funny. Although, I really doubt that car got hot-rodded...not because I have such faith in humans (and car dealers in particular), but because I think those Michelins have a tread pattern that is sporty (i.e., more like slicks than deep-grooved rain tires), and also because it looks like the tires are more dirty (from a muddy road or parking lot) rather than worn down. Having said that, I have no idea. Either way, please update this thread if anybody learns something about that car / situation.

My fathers 2019 s63 4matic just got delivered to the dealer a few weeks ago...it was sitting at the port in Baltimore waiting for Mercedes to release the 2019 since mid August...well I am finally taking him to go get it Saturday.. he ordered it in March or April. It came in with $3500-4K in undercarriage damage and a side skirt had to be replaced... It took 2 weeks to fix, mostly waited for parts..frame isn’t bent or anything. They think the guy pulled it off the trailer too fast but they don’t really know how it happened. He told me when a car comes in damaged it’s always the high priced ones. It’s never a base c class. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!!

Check the 2:00 mark and you can see what a worn PSS looks like on a press sedan which should be driven pretty hard. Still looks less chewed up than that coupe's wear.

Factory Blockage
So my C63s premium plus coupe has been built & gone through final inspection on 14/11/2018.
ive received the commission screenshots to confirm. I have however received an email from Mercedes AMG to inform me there is a block at the factory on the release of this model due to a ‘quality assurance’ issue....
The car was due to be with me in the UK on 26/11/2018.
So can anyone on the forum clarify the following:-
a) Has anyone in the UK physically received their 2019 MY C63 yet ?
b) Has anyone in Europe physically received their 2019 MY C63 yet ?
Many Thanks if you can input

Certainly those of us (like me and a few others here) who have C63S coupes/convertibles produced in Europe before the factory hold would want to know what the quality issue is and to use any evidence as grounds to demand information from our dealers. Thank you.

My C63S coupe was built on 11/22 and has been held at the port in Germany because it is waiting on a "part." Apparently, they do "modifications to the car" at the port "which is not done by factory" (according to my SA). Not sure if this is related or if this is just complete B.S., but my coupe is again delayed and I have no expected shipment or delivery date. Hard to imagine how MB retains any of its customers with this level of bush league customer service.

Am I the only one who thinks the orange reflector really kills the headlight design? Not digging the updated "aero optimized" wheel design either.

Just got the VIN for my 63s Coupe today. It completed build early and is already at port waiting for a ship. I got really lucky on the order based on what others here have experienced. I dropped by the dealer at the beginning of October just to inquire and ended up placing a custom order. They called 3 days later with a December build slot and then that slot got moved up to the 7th. Then today, I found out hat it was actually built on Monday. Hopefully it will be here soon. It's replacing a Jaguar F-Type R that just doesn't have the interior build quality i'd like to have.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Also agree about the wheels, I actually don't like any of the designs both new and pre face lift 205 series, one of the first things I will be doing is a set (or 2) of nice aftermarket wheels for this platform should really transform the vehicle

No, AFAIK everybody does or would hate that lol - luckily again AFAIK it's only a U.S market thing - a lot of people swap them out for European market units which are also LHD.

Build date pushed now to first week of January...I'm starting to wonder if it will ever get built The wait continues to grow.
Happy for those that got their cars already, can't wait to get mine.

I am thrilled that my marvelous C63S coupe has arrived. I haven’t taken delivery just yet due to a small paperwork issue that’s causing a delay; but I had the car in my custody for a few hours and I drove it and played with many of the features.
What a car for the money. Some of the best technology available. The feeling I have when sitting in the car is amazing. The performance attributes and the AMG theme ooze everywhere.
The AMG performance seats are not uncomfortable. Not at all. I was afraid I made the wrong choice. They are wonderful and pose no disadvantage- they pose only advantages.
The grey oak trim is terrific. Looks better than I expected. And it was free The AMG drive unit section on the steering wheel is awesome. Many functions can be controlled there.
I thought the ride was going to be stiff enough on its own, so I went with the standard wheels. These 19” wheels in person are wonderful. Very striking.
I this non-grey-magno example! I am delighted to have such a unique and gorgeous car for under $100k, which I think is a bargain compared to what I’ve bought from Porsche for $150k with much less power and many fewer luxury features.
[Pictures below. The only way I could get them to upload successfully was to separate them and do a few at a time.]
