Aero pack & Ventilated performance seats? MY2019

Hi Everyone,

Have recently placed an order for MY2019 C63S Sedan, and have a few questions:

From some of the youtube reviews I've watched so far, it's been mentioned that the cars Mercedes had given them to test on the Bilster Berg track in July this year had an Aero pack - which added some additional body styling options on the car, but going through the ordering guide and available configurators, haven't seen any mention of such packs - anyone have any idea what happened to this option?

Similarly, there was mention of ventilated performance seats, but couldn't find that option as well

Last but not least, a question unrelated to ordering - during the break in process, can you still activate the exhaust flaps? Or is it recommended not to before fully running in the car?

Thanks so much for answering

Aero Package - I inquired about this as well, and from what I was told it is only available on the Coupes, not sedans (I ordered a sedan).

Heated/Ventilated Performance seats - Yes, you just need to have the Performance Seats option on your build as well as the Heated/Ventilated seats option. That'll show as two separate options on your build sheet. When the car is built, you'll get performance seats that are heated/ventilated. Added those to my ride, too! In the past, you could not add the heated/ventilated option if your build had performance seats listed.

Exhaust flaps - Not sure, but don't see why that would have anything to do with the break in period. Would check though.

First, Congrats on the order!

Here are the codes:
B26 AMG Aerodynamics Package -- Features in high-gloss black: front splitter, side inserts, performance spoiler lip, performance rear apron air vents, aerodynamically optimized diffuser
401 Heated and Ventilated Front Seats -- Requires leather upholstery or designo Nappa leather upholstery

Both can be found on pg. 55 of the Dealer Order Guide (the one dated 5.31.2018, anyway); if you were looking at the 2018 configurator, btw, you wouldn't have seen either of those options. You couldn't get ventilated performance seats in the 2018 or earlier models (only heated). As for the Aero package, the other members will have to weigh in on its availability for that MY, but I do know it isn't on the mbusa 2018 configurator

As for your perf exhaust question during break-in, I'm certainly no expert, seems to me the break-in is all about getting good seals and the sensor systems "calibrated." I wouldn't know why opening up the flaps would be a problem. Regardless, looking at the 2018 C-class manual regarding breaking-in the new vehicle, I see no mention whatsoever of the performance exhaust (even in the AMG portion of the section). In the manual's section on the AMG performance exhaust, it also doesn't offer any limits or warnings about opening them up during break-in. That's obviously not an affirmative statement that you can or can't; but the fact they don't mention it strongly suggests there's no issue doing it.

EDIT: Apologies, @Profomo ; I overlooked you specifically said sedan. The Aero package IS only available on the coupe, as mentioned by @NYC365 , above.

Thank you guys for your replies!

A bit disappointed that the aeropack won't be available on the sedan, but won't be the end of the world.

Will see if I'll be able to add the ventilated seats for my order, but Singapore is a little bit behind with their order guide

You can switch the performance exhaust on during break in.
Whilst in comfort mode it just opens the flaps.
It's only in sport + that the snap crackle and pop comes alive.
