W204 P31 +++. VS 2019 63S coupe ....
Hey guys
I thought more appropriate to post on your forum rather than W204 as their are more current owners of AMG 63s that have either upgraded from the W204 Or who are new to the product.
My 63 Is loaded with goodies, 2013 with 45000 km. P31 with aftermarket headers, evotech custom tune, BMC filters, waveTRAC LSD, cold plugs, uprayed pads, springs and putting out 330rwkw, circa 550bhp.
Iam am seriously thinking of upgrading to the 2019 model.
+++ new interior - gorgeous
+++ 9 speed MCT
+++++ very tuneable to easily 400+ rwkw
and I am sure their are many more positives, however the down size in stroke volume to a super small block V8 Is a stumbling block for me ...
what sre are your thoughts guys ? Especially those who shave (upgraded) from the W204
TIA
Matthew

Trust me once you go W205 I doubt you'll ever want to go back
The old 6.2 engine is legendary but the new 4.0 V8 is a force to be reckoned with. Sounds very different to the 6.2 of course but still fantastic in its own way, not to mention the power delivery and throttle response (turbo lag is almost non-existent).
Handling and driving dynamics are much improved (feels much more planted on the road but still isn't afraid to get tail happy when you want it to, even in comfort mode!) And as you've already said, the newer interior and technology is on another level.
