AMG Menu warm up
Do any of you follow these settings? Cold start in cold weather takes about 20 minutes to become at normal operating temperature. I try not to rev and going over 60 mph during that period. I was curious what's your input on this.
This is straight from the manual -
Engine and transmission oil temperatures: when the engine and transmission are at normal operating temperature, oil temperatures are displayed in white in the multifunction display.
If the multifunction display shows oil temperature in blue, the engine or the transmission are not yet at normal operating temperature. Avoid driving at full engine output during this time.

I had the same issue, car taking a long time to warm up in cold weather. Shop foreman at my dealership says to combat this. It's perfectly fine to switch to Sport+/manual shift/ once you take off. Keep the revs around 3-3500 rpm while you're driving and the warm up time is reduced in half and it doesn't hurt anything.

Interesting. I was thinking that mine warms up nicely and pretty quickly in comparison to other cars. In fact, its been around 34 F (freezing) at night for a few days and I see it get to white temperatures in around 3-4 miles. Just local roads (25 and 35 MPH limits) and it does get nice and warm quickly. I guess climate and humidity makes a difference, but there cant be that much discrepancy, could there?
