Clunk when accelerating from stop
Hi have about 400 miles on my new C63S and it's done this since the day I picked it up. I thought maybe it was just DCT but maybe not. If I'm driving and come to a full stop or even slow down promptly then get back on the gas you can hear and also kind of feel a clunk from right under the mid part of the cabin. Funny thing is if the car is in sport or sport+ the car doesn't do this, only in comfort. Any ideas? Transmission mounts maybe? Would it be fine to wait for the differential service before taking it in, or should I make an appointment with dealer asap? Thanks.

mine has done that, too, since day 1. It doesn't happen every drive and I have about 1k miles now. It sounds (feels) more like it's happening at the wheel hub than the center of the car. I wondered if it was the the rotor/wheel interaction causing it. drives fine. I'm just gonna ask when I take it in for differential service.

I had them check it when I took it in for the 2000 mile differential service. They said they couldn't reproduce the noise, but oddly enough it's gone. Don't know if something they did servicing the differential fixed it or what happened but ever since then it hasn't been a problem.

My 2020 C63 not only does that but is jerky on acceleration. It's not enjoyable. I have taken it in multiple times. I have called Mercedes CAC as well to have them buy it back. They said most likely it will not get bought back because it hasn't been into service enough times and the service advisors don't write it up properly. It's frustrating dealing with them.

Were you able to fix it or figure out what was wrong?
im having the exact same issue… if yours stopped 2k miles maybe it “solved itself” after the break in? Hmm

I now have 4300 miles on the car. Funny story. I was on my way to talk to the GM of my dealership and to go on another test drive with the tech. The car did not jerk or hesitate at all that day. I got up there, told them it was working fine and since then it’s been driving beautifully. I am not sure if they did a software fix over the air on that day or if it just needed to be broken in more. About a month or 2 prior to my last trip to Mercedes they did a adaptation to the transmission. Good luck! And don’t let them tell you the car just performs like that. They will also blame the “wet clutch”.
