Production numbers and value
Hi All,
I saw somewhere on mbworld were some of you wanted to know the production numbers of the c63, not sure if it was w204 or w205. I have attached the PDF production numbers for the C63s Edition 1 for 2015. Per Mercedes, 380 units worldwide meaning (about half that number for USA market), and 1 per dealer. I know w205 are one of the most produced benz at the moment, but the limited edition 1's I bet will go up in the future FYI with such low production numbers.
Page 14,15,16 you Edition 1 owners definitively want to keep around in future sales with the production number listed.

Mercedes releases tons of “special limited” edition cars that are nothing except a few visual adjustments.
If you think an Edition 1 Mercedes is going to be a collectors car you’re going to be in for a big disappointment. Quilted stitching and some stickers doesn’t all of a sudden make a car exclusive, no matter how you try to market it.

The only bonafide collectable and value holding or possible future value increasing AMG is the Black Series cars.

Yep, the only AMGs that will appreciate in value or become collectors cars are the Black Series, or the SLS AMG, SLR. GTs early model years have already depreciated into the $80K range, the GT-R might hold value a bit stronger, but I don't see that holding like a SLR or SLS either.
