Hello, new to the forum. I am in the market for a lightly used 2018 c43, but recently I noticed several c63s in my area at substantial discounts to typical book value. Wheras most well cared for nicely optioned c43’s are in the 45-50k range, which is where I’m comfortable spending, I have seen several of the 63’s pop up in that price range, they appear to be service/fleet vehicles. Instinctively the thought of buying a high performance car like this that has potentially been beaten up through rentals sounds like a terrible idea, but then again part of me wants to take a gamble since it’s so much car for the same price. Who rents these cars? Maybe they are corporate loaners? Anyone have experience buying prior fleet vehicles?

Interesting! I bought an ex-Mercedes fleet car from my local MB dealer. Its CPO with an extended warranty, so I shouldn't have any worries, but it did cross my mind. Turns out mine was run by someone in Mercedes and hadn't been directly registered to a person previously, though with only 8500 miles on the clock, its not run a hard life!
Though I suspect that this isn't necessarily the fleet that you are referring too! It did cross my mind that it might have been a long term press car, so I did plenty of searching to make sure. Didnt find it (doesnt mean that it wasnt) but it wasnt one of the main ones used for the press at least. If it was, it certainly scrubbed up well....
