Catless DP Install
Has anyone done their own 2 piece catless down pipe install, for example cut the OEM pipes, remove and install the new pipes in home garage? Seems pretty straight forward so just wondering if anyone has done this.

Have mine on order, don't have the tools to do it at home but I'm sure you could with a lift or ramps and two sets of hands. Shop has quoted me $400 to do the install Chicagoland area. Not bad at all.

I have completed the install in my garage. Cut the OEM DP's about an inch above the lower cats. Pretty easy install, cutting it as straight a possible was the most difficult.

do you plan to have the stock pipes welded back together? Thought about having an exhaust shop weld some flanges just Incase I need them later for smog/emission or what ever.

Oh i forgot to mention we had to disconnectthe steering shaft in order to get the drivsr side dp out. Not sure if there was a better way but it was much easier when we did that. The new dp went in pretty easy. Just try to remember which way you twist and turn to get the OEM out and do the reverse to get the new ones in. I used the OEM gaskets.
