I just had my new BC Forged wheels installed today and can't say enough how impressed I am with the quality. I have a KW HAS kit in the garage and am wondering if I should install it. From my understanding the kit automatically lowers the car 20mm and then adjusts lower from there. I am a little concerned that the 20mm might be to much of a drop. I will be driving this car daily and have a fairly steep driveway entrance. What are your thoughts leave it as is? Put on the KW HAS? or do something else like a set of springs that do not drop the full 20mm?
If you're happy with the ride height now, and ok with the small wheel gap then don't install. I have the KW HAS kit and I like the adjustability, but I also had to buy the K-mac bushings kit to avoid replacing tires every 3K mile because of the aggressive negative camber the lowering causes.
If you don't want to deal with all that keep it as is. If you hate wheel gap, then It's worth doing.
I ordered Venum black lug bolts off amazon and when we went to install them today noticed the ball seat was very different than the stock Mercedes bolts. Until I can find some 28mm black bolts I will be going with my factory silver lugs with the black locking. Not great but I didn't have any other options.
I say drop it . I have BC Forged wheels and dropped and haven't had any issues other than KMAC bushing issues which I wish I had stayed stock bushings and lived w/ the tire wear . My front is dropped considerable and it rubs on tight lock to lock turns on the rt fender inner lip but very light .....you don't need to go as low as I am . In the rear it depends on the offset you went with and how wide the tires are and height but Has is adjustable so its no big issue .Just have to adjust it a couple of times until it no longer rubs on big dips or bumps .Originally BC Forged made my wheels +50 but that offset won't work on a sedan w/o hitting the 1/4's as it pushes the wheels out too far so they made me another set w/ a offset that clears no issues

Congrats! I just received my BC Forged wheels for my C63 as well, the quality is amazing. In regards to your lug bolts you should double check if the wheels were machined to accept the OEM Mercedes lug bolts or if they are machined for 60 degree conical lug bolts. Mine are machined for the 60 degree bolts. You probably already verified this, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
Regarding the drop, mine is pretty slammed on H&R adjustable coils. It makes an absolute world of difference in terms of looks and I would not run stock height, but that is my personal preference and my car is not driven very often at all. For that reason I am also not running a camber kit and I will deal with the premature tire wear.
I had BC Forged do my wheels with the ball seat instead of the conical. The factory lugs work great it is the aftermarket Black Venum lugs that are off. The black lug has the pressure point just around the collar as with the stock lugs it is evenly distributed.
I'm in the same boat and have been contemplating a drop as well; however, I don't think the stock wheel gap is too bad. Full disclosure, all of my previous cars have been dropped to some extent, but since mine is a daily as well I think it makes more sense to keep it stock. Not to mention the horror stories I've been reading about re premature tire wear. Doesn't sound like our cars like to be lowered.
^^ MikeZ103 sounds like you and I are in the same boat! I do think my car would look better slightly dropped BUT is it worth the potential headaches for a 1/2"?? Besides the negative camber and tire wear issue I am also a bit worried about potential rubbing if I lower. The way the car sits now the wheels are flush and zero clearance issues. I went with a 50mm offset in the rear an 20mm on the front.
I am contemplating a drop. I am considering H&R springs and an F1 Fabrications camber kit. I have read of some folks experiencing problems with the popular camber-adjustable bushings setup so I an weary of going that route. F1 is a control arm setup.
I lowered my previous cars and always installed a control arm camber kit along with the lowering coils. Better to do the whole thing right in my opinion. I reason that saving money on not getting a camber kit isn't worth the money you lose replacing our expensive tires more often.
With that said, have any of you used F1 camber kits on their AMG? Feedback on them?
