I've been getting the below "Check Front Left Sidemarker Lamp" warning on and off since day one. In the beginning I think it was front right and I actually tried to check it but found nothing amiss. This warning comes up maybe once a month, if that often. Has anyone else experienced this? When I take the car in for service next year (assuming I don't have any issues before then) will they be able to find this warning when they do a diagnostics test? I'm going to continue to ignore it for now.

I would verify this, but i believe that message may be coming up if you have your lane switch disabled (the little triangle that illuminate red on your rear view mirrors). One you enable it, that should go off.
