Your car stock is 120-121 mph stock. That's a huge difference. Even a tuned C63S is only going to trap 125-127 mph (depending on tune and other details). |
Listen, there will always be faster cars and faster drivers. Don't beat yourself up over the fact that your friend and/or his car happen to be faster. You have the car you want, and it's a very cool car. I'm biased, but I happen to think that a C63s is much cooler than an M5 (which is a pretty cool car in its own right).
In 99.95% of actual real-world driving, your vehicle will perform as well or better than his. |
M5 prob only has that over the C63S.. its faster.. other than that no one would prob even give it a second look on the street but this 'slower' coupe of mine turns heads everywhere it goes. :nix:

The 2018 M5 is a very powerful car. The more comparable car on the Merc side is E63S. A C63S and a M3 would be good comparisons.
Having said that a drag race hardly helps. I'm more a fan of track and rally racing in general which helps demonstrate the overall handling and power delivery capabilities of the cars. Personally I feel a C63S gets more people's attention than an M3 or M5. Just start and rev the car in Sport+ and see people's heads turn :zoom: |

C63 coupe is definitely the better looking car. |

Simple. Just trade it in for the e63s.

CLA45 is a front-biased AWD car. On the track it will definitely have more understeer compared to the oversteer in any RWD or rear-biased AWD cars. It's still a great car nevertheless, but I feel that it's apples to orange comparison if you compare it with a C63S or an M3 or an M5.

Lmao C&D tested the M5 0-60 at 2.8s and quarter-mi at 10.9s. Our C63’s tuned or no are not even going to touch that car.
This new generation of AWD super sedans is on another level. They’ll embarrass you around a track too. Try a stage 3 RS3 if all you want is a drag race machine. |
Coming from a 2018 E63s to a 2019 C63s, it’s no surprise the M5 spanked you. However, the C63s is loads more fun to drive than the E63s, so I echo the comments above regarding track driveability. I wanted a smaller car that’s more alive and nimble, this the C63s. Mine happens to be tuned which also helps!

Surprising this guy was the only video that got it to beat the e63s lol.
On another note let a m5 line up against my GLC and I will burst his ego:slap:

A few have said it; "there will always be faster cars...". I almost bought a new Audi RS5 - it would have been a little quicker. I have a buddy with a new Mustang GT350 - I'm sure it's a bit faster. I looked at a Jag F-Type R. A kid with a souped up Ford Focus RS or Civic Type R can equal or best the C63S. But, this is the car I chose for a variety of reasons - not necessarily 0-60 or 1/4 mile time.
The "cool-factor" is undeniable; today, when leaving the grocery store, three different people said something about the car - including one guy who said "sell me your car - GREAT ride", a guy about my age who almost walked into traffic staring at my car, and a younger guy in a BMW 4-something who gave me a thumbs up. |

The gas station worker loved the color and changes on the facelift. He thought it was an all new car because of the new grill and aero. I said it was the facelift. Every time I go out I have guys giving me compliments. At least 2-3 Audi owners stare and drool and give the thumbs up daily. Slowing traffic down to make sure I know they approve. Lol |

I'd rather have a E63 over M5 any day. F90 is the ugliest generation of 5 series ever. I don't care how fast it is.

Bottom line, you are not beating any M cars in a straightline or curves with their respective AMG counterparts. This is only relevant if you are chasing performance. Experience of actually driving the car, that is completely different.

Just watched the video. How do you not able to get less hp/TQ M3 taking off without wheel spins. 👎 That’s .5s lost there.

Your GLC can beat the new M5? I doubt that unless you have some major mods done.
I am a AMG fanboy through and through btw. I just noticed a trend that m cars tune way better than amgs at the moment. |
