Hi there. I’m new here and I’m considering ordering a 2019 C63s coupe. This will be my first MB AMG and I’m excited but I’m also doing a lot of research which is why I’m here.
Dealership said that orders take 3-4 months to get delivered. I’m planning on placing my order in October when I can pay in cash. Will that be too late for the 2019 model? I specifically want the 2019 as there are rumours that they will change to a V6 and I’d want the monstrous V8!
Please excuse me if I’ve posted in the wrong area. I’m looking forward to gaining some expert insight from this forum. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
MY2019 orders have been closed since Feb/Mar of this year. If you want to get a MY2019 you would have to make your pick from the local dealership lots. It is generally hard to find a vehicle which matches your preferences.
Few early revisions of the Dealer Ordering Guide for MY2020 are out, and you can only order MY2020 at the moment. I don't know if dealers have started getting slots allocated yet (most likely no), but would be a good time to research with the dealers regarding ordering and pricing. Late Q3 - Early Q4 I think is the earliest you might be able to get your car if you are able to get into one of the earliest slots.
The V8 is still around for MY2020 and has not (yet) gone away AFAICT. There are not major changes between MY2019 and MY2020 - a small bump in the MSRP, few options are now standard, reduction of color options and there is an Advanced Car alarm as standard too. Most changes are for the C43 with options which were exclusive to C63/C63S are now also available to order with C43.
As per the rumors, the V8 might go away in the next generation of C63/C63S though.

I was more concerned about losing the V8. Would the MY2020 be the same exact engine than the MY2019? When do you think they will redesign to the new generation? Sounds like I have more time.

My wife placed a healthy deposit with a local dealership here in Houston two weekends ago. She was told it would be completed October 2nd. And, it has almost every option available. We figure delivery in November.

Why WAIT to place the order ?? Even if paying in cash, you DO NOT pay until the car arrives and is delivered. (you would NEVER want to pay beforehand, and no reputable dealer would take money prior to possession )
