I'm beginning to think this is an obvious troll post and we're all a bunch of idiots for even responding

I believe the end result is this: In the scenario that you are driving at ANY SPEED in auto, and you floor it, the car will auto step down in gears (PERIOD) if it doesn't, you have a problem.
now ......
1) after the original post, it was stated that pressure was gradually applied to throttle, and this is a whole different issue, as pointed out by swiss.
over and out ....

This is why you drive in Individual mode....
Suspension comfort, Engine/trans always in S+.
You can't expect the car to do much in 7th gear at highway speeds with the engine lugging around under 1300 rpms.

Well then my car must be the weird one. Even if I don't jam on the throttle, once it is fully depressed it will kick down gears. He changed what he said a few times, but in both posts stated that he made it to WOT which should have kicked down gears at some point. Unless he did it ridiculously slow on purpose, trying to trick the computer, hence the troll comment.

Guys, this was just an Observation thread as I noticed it and wanted to ask if other people had the same response. Again, when I was at 80, and floored it, I Expected it to really take off much harder that's all. Nothing against the car at all as I love it, just got a little different outcome than I anticipated. I will try it again just to see. INTERESTING info about the Kick-Down, pressing PAST the Pressure Point.
Cascade1 mentioned his 2019 going 30 in Comfort and being in 9th gear, well I only have 7 on my 2017, but in C mode on my drive home there is 30 MPH stretch out in the country for a few miles and mine is in 7th going 30-35 also. Doesn't bother me, but if I need to, I just manually downshift
Unrelated, but just got a Dragy last week which I haven't used. I am planning to do a few runs (1/4 mile mainly) on my current STOCK Tune, and then with the Eurocharged Tune loaded, to Really KNOW from a Numbers Perspective, what the difference is.
From a "Feel" SOTP, when the Tune was ON it was Awesome and I’m very satisfied
In closing, I did say this is a little bit of a Silly Thread, but we all like to know our cars are driving as they are supposed to, so sometimes we just want to ask questions which is WHY we are all in here and a little comradely. This is a Great Forum and appreciate everyone's replies, except Alexasa of course just kidding buddy, I'm sure you are cool in real life

I WISH I had Race! I don’t how is Race Mode different than Sports+? Just even more aggressive?
Yeah I hear you about Comfort, but I use C on the way to work as I’m not able to go to fast along my-route and it makes my drive more peaceful and quiets my exhaust and reduces the drone, albeit mild, that I’m getting.
Hoping converting my AWE Track to the SwitchPath Version helps this and I can drive in S and S+ with Valves Closed and not experience Drone. If not, I may be going back to stock and selling an exhaust. I was told I am going to be happy.

I used to use C mode when I get a phone call, but now I just close the exhaust flaps.

Guys you are scaring me a little. YES mine is a 2017 AMG C63 Sedan, I have C, S, S+, and Individual. I have a Race LAUNCH Mode and I know you all know about that. I thought the RACE Mode was only for the C63 S Versions? Am I incorrect?
UPDATE: Just answered my own question:
The following AMG DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes are available:

43, 53 and 63 non-S don't have Race mode. Race mode is one of the things that comes with the S and higher models. It's the most aggressive engine, transmission and chassis setting for the track and I believe it turns off all of the safety components such as forward collision warning, auto braking etc. to avoid any false positives on the track. It's not meant for street use unless you know what you are doing and are aware that most safety nets are turned off or way reduced.
