‘17 GT F1A E85 Monster ‘16 C63s
What is this...

Changing my oil the other day I noticed a little plastic box connected to the H section of my catback exhaust that had a wire/plug connected to it. I don’t have performance exhaust as far as my build sheet shows nor do I have the button near my mouse pad control. Wtf is it because it has to be a valve of some sort lol

I am pretty sure that is the H Valve controller.

(after seeing your pic, YUP ..H Valve)

Thanks for the info. So these cars have an h valve flap on standard exhaust and both h valve and exhaust flaps on performance exhaust? Assuming h valve is voltage based for either boost reference or throttle position. Interesting

All cars have the H valve which opens/closes based on throttle input. PE then adds the different mufflers with their own set of valves which the button on the dash controls. That exhaust button does not control the H valve whatsoever. I have the PE and took out the H valve and replaced it with a straight section and noticed a deeper tone in the low rev range and combine that with the ASR module I love it and get some subtle pops occasionally in C mode too while braking.
