how to remove this

Can anyone share how to remove this button (PE button) on my car? Seems like it sticks - would like to try to do myself vs taking to the dealership for a day on something so minimal. I bought the car pre-owned and have a feeling something may spilled and want to explore myself - a bit scared to just pop off until others chime in.

Try electrical contact cleaner first - liberal spraying and multiple clicks should improve things before you crack open the dashboard.

Stinks though and make sure you dont get it everywhere. Lots of clean-up rags! Never used it on a Merc, but had sticky buttons on an old GTI years ago and worked a treat. Worth testing on a hidden area of dash first.

Rubbing alcohol cleans well, evaporates quickly and completely and is seldom harmful to finishes or materials. It will, however, tend to remove wax/oil/grease so shouldn't be used if that would be an issue.

91% Isopropyl Alcohol should do the trick.
