C63 cat and/or resonator delete
Hi guys, I’m new to the forum, recently purchased a mid 2017 c63s in black, currently about 10,000kms on the car, I’m in Australia btw.
Loving the car so far, I really didn’t want to touch a thing on this car but I can’t seem to help the need to make it a bit louder. I’ve done a good search here and read a bunch of posts about exhausts.
I dont want to go the header path just yet as it’ll be too questionable to the warranty. I’ve read a bunch of people doing the secondary cat/resonator delete and putting straight pipes, some are doing just the cat while some are doing both.
Can I get some feedback on those of you that have done either? Some say doing both makes the exhaust sound a bit raspy which I want to avoid at all cost, i want the same sound just louder.
Does removing just the cat give a noticeable difference? And does removing the resonator give a less desirable sound?
Finally, does anyone know if doing either of these will cause any warranty issues, I’ve not dealt with Mercedes yet but if they’re like most car companies they’ll do anything to get out of a warranty claim.
