Slow day

You know it's a slow day here when a year+ old thread about a BMW accidentally bumped is the most active one today.

How different does the M4 feel to C63? In terms of straight line pull, mid range, top end. How is the handling on the corners compared to the amg?
Does it feel like you're sitting lower than c63?
Sorry for too many questions, i went with c63s coupe and never had a chance to drive the m4

The C63s pulls harder in a straight at all speeds (comparing stock cars). It's more comfortable, sounds better, and looks better, personally speaking. The m3/4 are much lighter, and I definitely feel like I can control the M car better than I can with the AMG. If you spec the AMG performance seats, it'll feel like you're sit higher in the c63s than in an M3/4 with comp package seats.

In my opinion, the M3/4 is just a better driver-focused car that gives up a bit of luxury elements. The only thing I still don't like about the c63s is the overly artificial steering inputs, especially at speed. It's sometimes unnatural in the way resistance is loaded against the steering wheel through turns, which I don't experience at all in the BMW. It's still a great overall machine to drive, but the M3/4 is more nimble and feels more planted. You'll never go wrong with a c63 though maybe in the future you'll get a chance to drive the M4 to see how it feels.

Curious, what modes are you in when this happens and are you still on the stock PSS? Also, have you ever checked your alignment? I initially did not like the steering in Comfort mode at higher speeds on the stock PSS. At around 10k miles I discovered based on front tire wear that my alignment was off. Toe was off on both front wheels. Never hit anything, so I suspect it was from the suspension settling or it wasn't completely correct from the factory. I had the car aligned and put a set of PS4S on it. It drives different now as in much better. Don't really notice anything unnatural about the steering anymore. I still don't use Comfort mode at higher speeds really, unless I'm mostly cruising on long mostly straight highways, but I have noticed the initial weirdness in Comfort mode is gone as well. For higher speed driving like highways and such, I typically have AMG DYNAMICS at least in Pro and the suspension at least in Sport. Car drives very well that way and I attack the canyons in Race mode w/ ESP in Sport Handling which puts AMG DYNAMICS in Master and I find the car very natural to place and control. I never felt the PSS were communicative enough. I couldn't really tell where the limits were. Much better with the PS4S.

The AMG does pulls harder because of the instant torque but drop off on top end where the M4 feel to keep pulling all the way to top end. I agreed with you on everything else.

This sound like just an excuses 😁. Seriously, you have to drive both cars to really understand it. From a professional driver, might not be much of a difference. From an amateur drivers, it day and night. The M4 give you that much confidence of going faster

Haha...I drove the M4 for about 200 miles while I was shopping for my current car. I'm not disputing that the M4 has an edge as a purely driver's car. I was simply commenting on the unnatural steering feel that was mentioned above.

Not sure what we are arguing here, but sorry some random YouTuber carries no weight. I'm gonna use the time for something else. The steering comment above surprised me also, because the steering of the M3/4 is probably the most criticized thing about the car. Chris Harris has been going on it for years, and basically says to just leave it in Comfort mode, because the other modes are weirdly weighted.

I know you didn’t asked me for my opinion between the 2 cars but other did asked me. I thought I just post the YouTube video because it the exact same feeling for me when I drove the M4 home.

good bit of info this......... 100% C63 coupe looks way more handsome and tougher just like in ur sig pic. There is something about C63 coupe it's beefiness over the M4 which is why I initially chose the C63s over an M4. C63s also has more of a classier look about it. M4 is nice but I think the last good M3 was the V8 and that's it.

funnily enough if the m4 had the same noise as an e46 m3 i'd have got one any day

anyway off topic but *** i hate youtubers................ they are so desparate

please like & subscribe I'll lick your chode bro🍆🍆💦💦

I totally agreed with but reality is, I see more M4/M3 on the road, at car meet ... etc then C63s. So what does that say about your statement?

But he also did said the M car is better track car then the AMG.

Heres the Ring track times driven by the same driver.

What is the point? Not sure comparing GTS trim level with C63s is fair.

Also same price or not, the reason you see more M3/M4 on the road is because BMW offers very affordable lease terms that anybody could get into them.

So true. I could almost lease two M3/M4 for the lease price of one C63S.
