I am considering blacking out the chrome on my car. Will most likely go with a matt finish to match the wheels. Do any of you have suggestions / recommendations or pictures of your own cars to help me decide the extent of "deleting" I do?
Also, just for info I had Eurocharged put me the stage 1 tune on, great gains especially since mine is the non-S model. Very happy with the performance and service from Solomon in Houston.
I just finished a 90% chrome delete on my car. Front lip, side skirts, window trims, rear chrome trim on trunk and bumper. It took several hours but I saved some money doing it not to mention the satisfaction of learning/accomplishment.
Tomorrow, I plan to plastidip the front grille sans the mb star and amg.
I went with 3m gloss black but satin also looks really nice and I prefer it to the matte black. Will post pics soon.
Would also be cool to tint the orange part of your headlamp........I haven't seen anyone do that yet on the headlamps that include the orange DOT side marker
Not the same car...but I blacked out my CLS63. I wrapped it on my own - window trim, side markers, door handles, grill, rear trunk chrome bar and light tint on the taillights.. Only left the "V8 Bi-Turbo" badges chrome and the emblems in the rear. Hopefully, you get the idea and this helps
