Headlamp misalignment
At the time I visited my local MB dealer in Yorks for comparison and the majority of their stock exhibited similar pronounced gaps always on the passenger side headlamp as per your photo. After the 66 went back I purchased my current 15 from MB and specifically asked them (over the phone purchase) to check the headlamp and front end alignments and they came back with the all clear and after travelling some 260 miles to that dealer to pick the car up I was only slightly disappointed but not surprised to see the passenger headlamp slightly pronounced from the wing vs the other side. Given my previous experiences and similar observations of other cars and being more confident with the sales team of this dealer and the history of the car and wanting to get on with the return journey I accepted it as designed.
I have been tempted to investigate further but havent being reluctant to make it worse with investigating any adjustments including removing the bumper. The gap on the inside of the headlamp to the grill part of the bumper is fairly even left and right so if you were to pull the affected headlamp in then I suspect it would start to foul the bumper.
It will be interesting to hear how your dealer diagnosis the issue however I wouldnt worry too much and I would definitely try to check out some other W205s to compare...
