engine temp gauge (pic included)

One seems to turn white much quicker than the other.

is the engine temp what really matters prior to driving aggresively or do i need to wait until both turn white?

sorry if it was a stupid question

Wait until both are white. The top one is your oil temp and the bottom one is the transmission temp.

Top is definitely oil temp, but I believe the bottom is coolant temp.

I wait for both to get up to temp before any spirited driving.

The bottom gauge is your transmission temp (gear oil). Waiting for both gauges to turn white is recommended before any spirited driving.
