Hello

yes I just done stage 2 which was catless downpipes and remap which removed the filter. Think the downpipes were custom made so no specific brand.

believe me this sounds way louder then the 2018 model. It’s on another level.

I will find out for sure and get back to you. I believe the primary cats have been removed but I’m not 100% sure. I know it won’t pass the mot at this stage.

once I get a reply back from the guy I got it done from I’ll let you know.

it will void your warranty, come mot you could have issues but if it’s a new car you got a few years to enjoy it lol

completely decatted so basically straight piped except for the exhaust back boxes.

you can always put it back to stock form as the original pipes are given back to you.

great thanks for that. MOT I believe is visual only which is why I want the OPF gutting but to otherwise look the same.
I don’t think I could go down the same route as you. I’d love to know the technical answers.

cheers

I was looking at the option of just gutting the PPF filter but I was told don’t go down that route as the result won’t be the same.

good thing about my route is you can fully put it back to stock should you choose to as they drop the gearbox and replace the pipes that way rather then cutting them so the old pipes can be slotted back.

visually they will be able to tell and also just from the sound difference. But yes go with the route that is best for you.

True. Sorry for all the questions. So it’s 50% louder, but what’s the tone like? I would like to retain that bassy AMG sound and growl. Not too raspy is it?

It’s a deep growling V8 sound, doesn’t sound raspy or cheap. It sounds like a lion growling, that deep V8 growl is much louder.

and in the tunnel oh my god. I’ve had people saying to me my car sounds insane in a good way.

it’s honestly hard to quantify but minimum 50% louder if not more.

I currently have a 2017 C63S Coupe with the Eisenmann System. I had there system on my Sedan as well. When my 2020 arrives in a few weeks I plan on making the switch. The Eisenmann is about 30% deeper in sound than the OEM PE Exhaust. I know the 2020's are quiter. I've had clients say that to me when they picked up there new cars.

Where is this "filter" actually located? Has anyone looked into swapping a 2017 into a 2020?

Hey, newbie here. Reading this post made me sign up instantly!

I’m in London too and am looking to get this done on a 2019 C63S Cabrio facelift. I’ve heard MSL are the best. I had a w204 C63 before this car and am still missing the noise my old car made!

Do you have any videos / YouTube / Insta of how your car sounds now? (I’m on insta with the same tag name as here.)

Thanks

Hello
I think I will be doing the same as you have...so would you still recommend it?
