Dash cam on c63?

Dash cam on c63?
Anybody here has Dash cam on their amg? I'm thinking about getting one for front and rear once I pick up my car. I heard it drains battery so though about adding back up battery that comes with the dash cam to save car battery. Wonder if anybody here has any experience with dash cam in their c63 or if it is really that necessary to have one.

If you turn parking mode off or hook it up to an ignition enabled powersource, the dash cam will not run if the ignition is off.
The best option is to install a power management system like Power Magic Pro. This will allow the dashcam to run while the engine is off, but will turn it off after a certain amount of time OR if the battery power drops to a defined threshold.

Gotcha. So I guess run side power source if I want it to work during parking right? Wonder if it is worth of getting dash cam with all this hassle. I know it could be helpful during theft or car accidents but.. does it actually worth of having one?

Yea thats right, there is a tutorial which fuses to tap for c classes in the "How-Tos" section. It only takes a few hours to do so I definitely think its worth it!

I have a front and rear VAVA dash came installed and haven't had any drain issues. It shuts off when the car turns off and has a G sensor that kicks it back on in the event of a crash while parked.
