Underbody rust proofing
So it's grown on me. I've been moaning about getting rid, but, well I quite like it, so I'm thinking I'll keep it a good 5 years. I've found a bit more noise in race mode, so got that setup on individual and it makes me smile!
In the UK we get harsh winters and I had a GTR that went rusty underneath, which broke my heart and I ended up selling. Has anyone got their C63 rust proofed underneath? I'm getting a dinitrol quote, but I believe there are other methods/applications.
Any info is appreciated.

id only think about rust if i was keeping the car 10-15 years. Doubt a 5 yr horizon means much for rust.

Peace of mind more than anything, I don't know if it's the grit we use in the UK, but it gets fired up behind the undertrays and makes a right mess, would be happier if I got it done now.

So if anyone in the UK is thinking of getting it done, I've ended up going to Krown Rustproofing in Dudley. The T40 stuff looks pretty decent, lasts 2 years and lubricates as well as protects. Goes on clear too and is applied as a fine mist, definitely worth getting done I reckon, going by my last car.

i believe this isnt necessary. i asked the dealer since i drive my car all year even in the winter and they told me NOT to get any third party rust proofing. They said the car comes with some kind of coating from the factory already and doesnt need it

My R35 had some special paint prices applied too, that rusted like the Mary Rose.
The consensus from MOT testers seems to be that Merc are up there with the worst, infact my mate who's an indie just text me to say it's probably already rusty! :-)
