Distronic was not ordered!

What that means is the car came without the front distance sensors. And you know what that could mean for the lower front spoiler... Has anyone ever used an aftermarket kit for this function? If so, what kind? How'd it do for you? Thanks.

The proximity sensors are Parktronic. Distronic is the radar. It's used for adaptive cruise control and a number of collision avoidance features. I think you're talking about Parktronic. There are proximity sensors all around the car.

+1...I also think you are talking about PARKTRONIC. Strangely you have to order the full Parking Assistance Package, which in the USA includes the 360 camera as well as the self-parking feature, in order to get the parking sensors around the car. W/o it you only get basic rear view camera as it is mandated by law now. Just did a quick search and there are aftermarket solutions like the one below. Wouldn't be my cup of tea, though on a close to $100k car.

Well on the plus side you save a trip to Home Depot as you do get a hole saw to drill out that front bumper cover - yikes.

The parktronic is pretty much the only option I did not get on my car...and now I miss it to see how close to a parking slab I am in the front. Anybody found good, wireless front camera solutions instead?

I’m so glad my car came with it (my car came with fully loaded excepted for the ceramic brake). This is a must option for those that lowered their car. You can fully see 360 degree.

Was a joke.... This is what I get for not going to the dealership with my wife and son. I gave them a perfect build sheet. It's missing the sensor package, front ventilated seats and the night package. I've taken care of everything needed to mimic the night package an since the front ventilated seats aren't true A/C, it's not that important. But not knowing if you're about to mate with a curb is bothersome. There is one fix: a license plate frame w/two distance sensors at the edges (fensens.com). But, since I hate running a front plate from my state. I could get a European version frame and use a vanity Euro plate and mount that. But how without drilling holes? Maybe see if there is a tow-hook hole kit for a European plate.

I hat front license plates - just me but they obstruct the nice lines. I searching for a while for 12V powered small front camera. They can be mounted on the edge of the grill surround and if wireless you don’t need to lead a wire through to the cabin. Just a 12V or 5V Access point. Can than auto connect to the local wifi and see it on your phone. Something like this

but try to find a smaller one.
