Hi guys, I have just fitted a brabus style diffuser on my c43 coupe and I’m really struggling to figure out how to wire it in. I can see the pictures but I can not find the same colour wires on my tail lights on my car. I was wondering if anyone could show me specifically where the wires are in the pictures in this thread and also where the wire has been fed through to get from the diffuser into the car if possible. A video would definitely help as like I have already said I can not figure out where the wires are on the pictures. Thanks in advance! Tom.

Hi Tom
I think, I'm running with the same issue as you. Did you find the solution ?
Other question I have, do you have the options of Keyless GO and the Park assist on your car ? Did you have any issue with this 2 options after replacing your diffuser ?
Your diffuser is in Carbon fiber ?
I'm thinking to rollback, A lot of people doesn't know about Mercedes technology in my city,

F1 Diffuser lights are supposed to stay on and then flash, I was following this thread because I’m also looking into getting the same diffuser, Im pretty sure you’re supposed to tap in to the taillights with the red wire as in when they automatically turn on at night since the third brake light is technically supposed to be on all the time and then it’s supposed to flash when you hit the brakes. So the yellow wire would go to the brake light that’s on the rear windshield and the red wire would be tapped into the wire that turns the rear tail lamps on when it’s dark out

PLEASE HELP !!!!

So I tapped in the wires to turn on the brake light on the diffuser , BUTTTT everything seemed good , I press on the brake and the light flashes how I want it , but after a few times of me pressing the brake it flashes and turns off completely, I turn the car off and click the unlock button and lock button and it works again and flashes , is it the Diffuser battery ? Do I need to change the whole diffuser , or where should I have put the wires in what color ?? PLEASE help , will send videos if you need them

Hi so I just wanted to add a bit of information on this. Just set up mine today and only have it as continuous flashing when I hit the brake and place the car in reverse.

It only flashes when braking, reversing, and using turn signals.
I might go back and have them try setting it up to where the light stays on then flashes when braking/reversing.

I have it wired so that it flashes the whole time you're on the brake, and then its solid driving around

I don't pay that much attention to it since I can't see it normally. But I just tested and found this.
1. When the car is on ACC, everything works just fine. No weird flashes with turn signal, come on when brake is pressed just fine.
2. When car is turned ON, when I was stepping on the brake, the light started flashing wild for like 5 seconds, then stayed off! Basically as if the the lights don't work at all. No flashes with signal, no coming on when brake is pressed. 100% street legal I guess?
3. I turned the car back to off on ACC, #1 behavior resumed.

What Oliwer200 suggested is probably good if you are on a track, but I don't think flashing brake light is street legal.

I figured out that the tail break light (RED) shares the same bulbs with the turn signal (Flashing Yellow). That's why the diffuser light comes up when the turn signal is on.

Right now, I'm tempted to create a custom circuit to control how everything works

Yes, some diffuser come with an adapter wiring to make it plug and play, if you can make that, or share how to make that I am sure tons of forum members can benefit from it.

I also found mine actually flashes when right turn, since the tap ran to the right tail light. So you are right. But I actually want mine to be OFF all the time, and only solid when brake is pressed, I don't want the 4~5 flashes at all. I think I need to run red to center brake light, black to ground, ignore yellow. Not sure how to tap the rear center brake light.

I finally rewired it to the 3rd brake light, the wiring is accessible where your right arm is on the back passenger seat. Works great.

it works exactly like the 3rd brake, since the wiring are tapped to that.

Thanks for the response, but what I meant was if the light still flashes or it's solid etc.

I used red and black wire so it's just on and off along with 3rd brake light. Yellow wire if supplied with power will make it flash etc.

I actually wired mine up today to the right tail light.

From the Diffuser light, black to brown, red to purple/yellow, yellow not connected. All work as expected, when I hit the brake, diffuser light on solid. No issues with turning indicators on etc.

Hope this is helpful to someone!

Tested with multimeter, then temp. wired to test

Spliced into factory wire using tap connectors, then male spades on diffuser wires connected to tap connectors.
