Sun Visor question
Summer is on the way. This is for anyone around the globe. My 2017 coupe sun visors do not extend, or pull out when open. Hope that makes sense? Can anyone confirm for their coupe if theirs pulls out? If so, I would love a part number. Note, this is not about the rear sun shade. Thanks

I have a 2017 C63 Cabriolet and my sun visors do extend.
I have had loaner C-class base models with non-extending sun visors though. I have no idea why any Mercedes would not have this feature quite frankly.

Man, thanks so much, as I knew they must exist. Really appreciate the help and completely agree, why they don't all come with it as standard, I don't understand. Now I just have to track down a part number

Are you sure they aren’t just overly tight? Mercedes visors tend to get really tight after a couple years for some reason. I had a 2014 E550 Coupe prior to this and the drivers side visor was really hard to extend. It took two hands to get it to slide. I replaced it eventually with a new one and it slid much easier. They aren’t inexpensive though. I paid over $200 IIRC.
I have bit of a funny story regarding sliding visors. A friend of mine has a new Ford F-250 truck and we were out in the desert, four of us, and he asked one of the rear seat occupants to hand him a piece of cardboard he used to block the sun so I asked him why he didn’t just slide the visor back. He had no idea that they did that. I think every Ford rental car I’ve ever been in has had that feature and it works great.

Just took these pics. It must be part of some option package but I'm not sure which one. Maybe look up the parts online for the sun visors, they probably have different ones for the same car. Mine actually extend easily with little effort.

SDrider, you rock. Would you pm me your vin so I can pull the part number. If not that, not sure if you know how to easily remove it you just pop the clip on the hinge side and it comes out in less than a minute. The part number is on the underneath side where it touches the headliner. So appreciate the help either way. Thanks so much

Well if anyone else is interested. I found the telescoping sun visor for left hand driver side!!! $136 for mercedesbenzstarparts.com. But even better than telescoping, it came without the ugly seat belt decal on it. I couldn't be happier. Part number is 205-810-85-04-9H56 where the 9H56 is the black code. Other colors are available.

Never got around to looking but I'm sure there is. If you search that part number, there's a good chance it will show you what vehicles it fits and you could then search for the right hand side. Might get it for the wife and the delete of the ugly decal. You can remove the decal with acetone but it is a pain and no matter what it leaves a shiny residue behind. New one is spotless.
