⏱️ 700HP Facelift converted C63 S Coupe with Drexler 3.06 plated LSD
Fox built a nest inside some guy's C63s intake

Some bloke in Germany was wondering why his coupe felt "down on power".

Ends up finding a sh*t load of acorns in his intake and chewed air filters.

Exceptionally, and for the first time, no technical problem on the part of MB, except that the engine control lamp should have come on - In both turbo inlets, some fox has acorns full to the brim and built a nest in a box for the turbo filter. A turbo filter had almost been eaten through - if it had been eaten through, the turbo could have been damaged. If everything was cleaned quickly, I helped a bit, exchanged filters (2x 36 euros net + 2 bananas, 4 children country and something else, so that I didn't have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment). Brings full performance again. I'm really happy.
Here's the link (German).

Not a Fox. Fiech is German for critter. Most likely a Chipmunk or Squirrel judging from the acorns.

My wife used to have a Mitsubishi Eclipse back when we first started dating. Base model, typical 90's purplish color. One day she said her car was running poorly and wanted me to take a look at it to figure out what was wrong. She said it would run rough at idle and felt like it was down on power. I thought maybe she got a bad tank of fuel or maybe it was something easy like a fouled plug or dirty air filter.

I started it up, and the car immediately idling extremely rough. I asked her how long it had been like that, and she said for at least a month. Feeling annoyed after hearing that, I turned the car off and popped the hood. What did I find? Hundreds of acorns shoved in every possible open space, the entire insulation layer under the hood missing except for a few strands near the edges, and two ignition wires that were completely severed with little teeth marks all over them.

Two new ingnition wires and 5 minutes of vacuuming later, and the little purple bubble of a car ran like a champ (or as much as an Eclipse could).

The real question here is, why the hell wasnt it garaged . haha Sad day and lucking none of the wiring was destroyed. Thats probably best case scenario for animal damage.

Even in Germany not everyone has a Garage. He says the car was parked for 2-3 weeks and he rarely drives on the Autobahn and only noticed it eventually on the Autobahn. He said the nest could have been there for much longer.

These animals sure are smart to find warm places like these, OP's thread reminds me of this (not C63 though)
