Speedometers

Hi all,

I did search terms for a few minutes and could not find details on it.

I'm looking into a 2017 C63s, narrowed down to 3 specific vehicles. All the features I want etc. I noticed on one the speedo is 220mph and the other two are 200mph. Is it aftermarket? It looks OE. Is there a different add on package that has a different speedo?

Thanks guys. I'm asking for price negotiation purposes.

There is no difference in max speed indicated for C63 or C63S - both are 200 MPH.

If I were to guess, the 220 MPH gauge is probably a picture that was taken of an AMG GTS, not a C63/S.

From the looks of it, the speedo in the C63 and C63S both go to 200 mph. There's no package that would warrant a different speedo. They do have different top speeds. The C63S does 180 mph and the C63 155 mph, but a 200 mph speedo is enough for both to make it readable at the top. In some markets the 180 mph speed limit of the C63S is an extra cost option I believe, but it doesn't change the speedo as far as I know. The GT variants have higher top speeds encroaching on the 200 mph mark. 189 mph for GT, 193 mph for the GT S and 197 for the GT C/R, so they have a speedo going to 220 mph. I'm also guessing somebody snuck in a picture from a GT.
