Tyre becoming redundant after rolling for 50 metres on low pressure?
I had a loss of pressure in my C63s yesterday, i pulled over quickly before any real pressure had been lost. The car was driven a handful of metres to get onto a truck and back off into the garage.
I am now told by the MB garage that the tyre is not able to be used (this was a new tyre 2 months back) because there is a line on the inside of the tyre?
Have people heard of this? I would have thought the tyre had to be built with some tolerances to be able to sustain some minimal driving on lower pressure. The tyre is a Dunlop Sport Maxx.
Thanks
James

You certainly don't want to use a tyre which had been through this. It could fail with more serious consequences (accident, etc.).
